OVERVIEW

The Trommel Screen is designed for efficient size-based segregation of materials. The rotating drum allows smaller particles to pass through the screen apertures while oversized materials are discharged separately. Trommels are widely used in Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), compost, RDF, plastic recycling, and industrial waste processing applications.

MATERIAL MATRIX

The Trommel Screen is capable of handling a wide range of material streams including Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), compost, RDF, plastics, construction debris, and industrial waste. Its rotating drum design efficiently separates fine particles from larger fractions, making it highly effective for size-based segregation across diverse waste compositions. This flexibility ensures consistent performance even with varying moisture content and mixed material loads, making it a reliable solution for modern waste processing facilities.

Why Choose TrashCon Trommel Screen?

Heavy-duty fabricated construction

Robust steel-built structure designed to withstand continuous industrial waste processing loads.

Replaceable screen panels

Easily interchangeable panels that allow quick maintenance and extended machine life.

Custom screening sizes

Adjustable screen apertures to achieve precise material separation requirements.

Low maintenance operation

Designed for minimal servicing needs, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted performance.

Suitable for wet and dry materials

Efficiently processes both moist and dry waste streams without clogging issues.

Variable speed drive options

Allows control of drum speed for optimised screening performance across different materials.

How Does It Work?

The Trommel Screen operates through a rotating cylindrical drum that is slightly inclined to allow material to move gradually along its length. As waste enters the drum, it is lifted and tumbled by internal lifters, enabling finer particles to pass through the screen apertures while larger materials continue to travel towards the discharge end. This continuous screening action ensures effective size-based separation, delivering clean and consistent output fractions for further processing or disposal.
