MATERIAL MATRIX

From plastics and e-waste to municipal and industrial waste, the TrashCon Twin Shaft Shredder is designed to tackle a broad range of materials efficiently. Refer to the matrix below to see the waste types compatible with different machine configurations and capacities.

Why Choose TrashCon Twin Shaft Shredders?

High-Torque Performance

The low-speed, high-torque configuration easily handles tough and bulky waste streams that conventional shredders struggle to process.

Built for Continuous Operation

Designed with robust fabrication and industrial-grade components to support uninterrupted performance in demanding environments.

Reduced Dust & Noise

The slow-speed operating principle minimises airborne dust and noise, creating safer and cleaner working conditions.

Efficient Material Processing

Processes challenging waste streams effectively while maintaining consistent output and throughput.

How Does It Work?

The shredding process begins when waste materials enter the feed chamber. Two independently driven shafts fitted with wear-resistant cutters rotate towards each other, gripping and pulling the material into the shredding zone.

The cutters tear and reduce the material into smaller, manageable sizes. Bidirectional shaft rotation helps optimise throughput while preventing blockages and improving operational reliability.

The shredded output can then be transferred to downstream systems such as conveyors, sorting lines, recycling equipment, or RDF production units.

Dual
Shaft Design

Counter-rotating shafts ensure efficient feeding and consistent shredding performance.

Wear-Resistant
Cutters

Manufactured from durable materials to withstand abrasive and demanding applications.

Bidirectional
Shaft Rotation

Enhances operational flexibility and assists in clearing material build-up.

Automatic
Overload Protection

Protects critical components from excessive loads and unexpected obstructions.
